The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA)

Programme Background

The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) provides accounting graduates in Malaysia with an avenue to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Through collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA), candidates have mutual advanced entry into both MICPA’s and CAANZ’s professional examinations. Graduates of the MICPA-CAANZ Programme will obtain 2 professional qualifications – CPA (Malaysia) and CA (ANZ). Members MICPA are professionally qualified “certified public accountants” bearing the CPA qualification. 

Entry Requirement

  • Degree holder with CGPA of at least 3.00; 5.0 (New Zealand); 4.0 (Australia)
  • Degree must be from universities which are accredited by MICPA in order to obtain full exemption
